The Ribble Valley is a food-lover’s heaven. 10% of Britain’s award winning gastro-pubs are located around Clitheroe. That’s the highest density outside of London. We made it our duty to try most of the notable local pubs and restaurants extensively.

The Calf’s Head in Worston is only a 1.75 mile walk and offers a great pub garden for warm summer days.

The Swan with Two Necks in pretty Pendleton is the closest and is noted for its great selection of Real Ales.

If you prefer to cook at home in our modern kitchen, why not shop at Clitheroe’s Bowland Foodhall where all our local specialities are offered?

Or try Georgonzola in Clitheroe for a great selection of cheeses and nibbles. Just across the street from Wellgate Fisheries

Clitheroe offers a Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Booths, a famous fishmonger and some wonderful butchers as well as two speciality wine merchants.
